Here you will find the latest and greatest Civil War News (at least as I get the time to update it). Although don't expect anything to dramatic. This conflict has been raging for the last 145 years so you have to expect the opponents to take a sizeable break from time to time. Those interesting in reenacting should have a good look through the 7th Texas site by clicking on the picture to the left. It gives a good insight into what hard core reenacting is all about. Particularly anyone interested in enlisting in the 'Rainforest Rangers' should have a good read of the 7th Texas uniform specifications as they are pretty much what is required for the 37th Texas. Within the Single Action Family it's good to see that the military element is growing. Below is a snap from Chisholm 2005. Captain Jackson on the left (no not the one in the tights, the one in the Confederate Captains uniform) is the newest member of the 'Black Sash Rebels (although he has a gold sash in the picture).
And if you're wondering what the Black Sash Rebels are have a look at the Company G 'Rainforest Rangers' pages. Other than that, from my perspective the Civil War has been fairly quiet. Anyone who has any pictures or articles of a valid nature feel free to contact me and I'll incorporate them on this site. Any areas of specific interest can be addressed to me as well and I'll do my best to research and publish them. Stonewall Jackson (SASA #4866) |
