WARRNAMBOOL OLYMPIC PISTOL SHOOTING CLUB STEPS BACK IN TIME

Single Action Shooting members from across Victoria descended on the Warrnambool club recently to take part in a single action competition that inspired onlookers and brought back to life the Old West. Looking like a lot of fun it was also patently obvious that the competitors were involved in serious competition. The growth of single action shooting across Australia like many other countries including South Africa and European countries has been nothing less than phenominal over recent years. The attraction appears to be the preservation of shooting skills of an era long past togetehr with a strong social and sportsmanlike interaction between competitors and their families. 15/03/2010.

The growing interest and number of enquiries relating to sanctioned Cowboy Fast Draw Competitions across Australia saw the first . CFDA International sanctioned Australian Championships held in conjunction with Chisholm Trail 2008. Frank James took out the inaugural championship event Mens Division and Dakota Dawn took out the Womens Division..
